You can experience and learn all about dairy farming at the Aso Milk Farm. On this 330,000㎡ farm (81.5 acres), they offer various hands-on farm-life lessons including a homemade food class for making sausages and bread with dairy and meat (reservations required three days in advance), milking the cows (offered daily at 1:00pm) at the cowshed, and so on.
The popular petting zoo features sheep, goats, chickens, ducks, and shepherd dogs. In addition, there is a dairy factory open for public viewing, the gift shop ”Milk Farm” for purchasing original milk and cheese, and a restaurant with lots of cheeses along with variety of menu options.
