Located at the birthplace of Kitasato Shibasaburo, a globally renowned medical scientist famous for his research on tetanus, this memorial hall was restored in 1986 with the cooperation of the Kitasato Institute and Kitasato Gakuen. Within the premises, parts of his birth home and his part-time residence, as well as a guest house built to entertain visitors to his hometown, are preserved. The museum showcases the life and achievements of the doctor through photographs and videos. From the guest house, visitors can enjoy a breathtaking view of Mt. Waita, known as the Fuji of Oguni.
