I climbed 3333 steps, Japan's best stone steps in Kumamoto.
Japan's best stone steps are located in Misato Town, Shimomashiki District, and are a well-known spot if you are a citizen of the prefecture. An event called "Attack the Best in Japan" is also held every November.
One day in June, three young staff members of the Kumamoto Prefecture Tourism Federation challenged Japan's best stone steps.

I climbed the stone steps so hard, I want to eat a delicious bento at the top.
When I watched the PR video of Misato Town, I found a bento shop that I was curious about.
"My Kitchen"'s deep-fried chicken lunch box was featured in local TV programs.
Since it appeared on the TV program, the number of customers has increased and the shop is busy.
I ordered the small size with three pieces of deep-fried chicken, but it was too big for the lid to completely close.

Misato Town's Shakain Misaka Promenade has 3,333 stone steps, and is located at the summit of Shakain (Izumimachi, Yatsushiro City), also called Mt. Koya West.

There are no vending machines at the top, so please bring enough water.
Don't overdo it, climb leisurely at your own pace.

It is a 4-minute drive from The Best Stone Steps in Japan to reach Takashima-en.
We will have ice cream made from pesticide-free and chemical fertilizer-free tea cultivated in the cool mountains of Misato Town.
A tea ice cream which the cultivation, tea making and ice cream production are all made in the same place is rare in the world.
I was surprised how delicious the tea which came with it was.
It was a very mellow and delicious tea, so I impulsively asked the clerk which tea it was and bought it for myself.
After climbing the best stone steps in Japan, it may be good to have a rest at Samata Hot Spring nearby.
A 40 minutes drive from Kumamoto City. Misato Town is famous for its rice terraces and stone bridges such as Futamata Bridge.
