Men-no-Ishi, once famous for a rock that appeared to float in mid-air, captured attention when said rock fell during the Kumamoto Earthquakes. The cavity created resembles a cat, and is now a popular spot for good fortune. Currently, there are 2-hour and 4-hour trekking courses available, where visitors can hike with an instructor.
(Reservations for trekking are required to visit Men-no-Ishi as it is on private land.)
