Koga Falls

Koga Falls consists of two waterfalls: Odaki with a drop of about 80 meters and Medaki with a drop of about 100 meters. During the coldest periods, the chilling winds blowing from the Aso Valley freeze the falls. The splashing water freezes into delicate and beautiful ice flowers, creating an entirely natural artistic masterpiece. The mystical scene unfolding before your eyes is truly captivating. Additionally, in early spring, the sound of ice cracking and falling echoes throughout the mountains, heralding the arrival of the warm season in Aso.

From mid-January to the end of February, the falls are lit up to create a magical and enchanting spectacle.
